Kinnagoe Bay is located near Carrowmenagh on the Inishowen Peninsula, approximately 42 km northeast of the Inishowen Tourist Office. The beach is reached via a winding road descending from the hilltop. Visitors should take care on the approach, particularly during busy periods.

🌊 About the Beach
Kinnagoe Bay is one of Inishowen’s most picturesque and secluded beaches, tucked between steep, wooded cliffs on the peninsula’s eastern coastline. Known for its crystal-clear waters and peaceful setting, the bay is a favourite spot for swimming, snorkelling and simply taking in the scenery. The small beach combines sand and pebbles and offers a sense of tranquillity that feels wonderfully removed from everyday life.
Kinnagoe Bay is also an important historical site. Just off the bay lies the wreck of La Trinidad Valencera, one of the ships of the Spanish Armada that ran aground here on 16 September 1588. Artefacts recovered from the 1,100-ton wooden vessel can be seen at the Tower Museum in Derry.
