Pollan Strand is located in Pollan Bay on the northern coast of the Inishowen Peninsula, approximately 31 km north of the Inishowen Tourist Office. The beach stretches from the village of Ballyliffin towards the Isle of Doagh and lies beside the renowned Ballyliffin Golf Club.

Pollan Strand is one of Inishowen’s longest beaches, stretching for more than 3 km along the coastline between Ballyliffin and the Isle of Doagh. Beginning with a wide sandy section and transitioning into stony areas further along the shore, the strand offers spectacular views across Pollan Bay to Glashedy Island, Carrickabraghy Castle and the Isle of Doagh. Pollan Bay is also one of the Wild Atlantic Way Discovery Points, recognised for its dramatic scenery and outstanding coastal views. Located beside Ballyliffin Golf Club and within easy reach of Binion Hill, Pollan Strand is a popular destination for families, walkers and nature lovers.
