Wile Craic Comedy Festival Returns for 2026 with First Wave of Comedians Announced

After a sold-out debut year in 2025, Wile Craic Comedy Festival is set to return to Inishowen for 2026, bringing another weekend of top-class stand-up comedy to Buncrana and Muff, Co. Donegal.
Taking place from 22nd to 24th May 2026, the festival will once again run in association with The Muff Liquor Company, showcasing some of Ireland’s finest comedians across a range of intimate and much-loved local venues.
First Wave of Comedians Announced
The festival has revealed the first wave of comedians coming to Inishowen in 2026, including several of Ireland’s biggest comedy names:

Festival Venues in Buncrana and Muff

Tank & Skinny’s Seaside
These intimate settings were a highlight of the 2025 festival and will once again bring audiences up close to some of Ireland’s best stand-up performers.

Rory Kelly, Founder of MRK Live, said:
“From the minute we finished the last show of last year’s festival, we immediately started thinking about the next edition, and we are over the moon to be able to return this May. Seeing how well the shows were supported in 2025 encouraged us to look ahead with confidence, knowing that there is a real appetite for comedy in Buncrana, Inishowen and the North-West in general.”
He added:
“This year’s lineup will see acts that are selling out theatres and arenas set to visit the town, with highlights including Colin Murphy, Emma Doran and Andrew Maxwell so far.
The comedy scene in Ireland is so connected that if you can build something new, interesting and well supported, that word will get around. We want to make Wile Craic a staple in people’s calendars, and we’re incredibly thankful to everyone who has supported it to date.”
Kelly also paid tribute to the festival’s partners:
“A special thank you must go to our partner, The Muff Liquor Company, for being at our side all year in building the Wile Craic brand through our regular comedy club in the brand’s home in Muff. We can’t wait to see packed houses again in May!”
