The Go Visit Inishowen team on Wednesday 4th June 2025 hosted at the Ballyliffin Lodge and Spa, a special Inishowen tourism trade Meet & Greet trade event where the trade from across the region came together to hear about their work and also of Failte Ireland and Donegal Tourism (Donegal County Council). This was also a networking event, to give local tourism providers the opportunity to chat to other tourist providers in the region and learn of current and future plans, as well as meet the new team.
Niall McCaughan, Manager of Go Visit Inishowen stated: “We were delighted with the turnout on Wednesday night to our Inishowen Trade Event in Ballyliffin. Most of the main tourist attractions, accommodation providers, tour guides and those involved in local hospitality were in attendance, and although they were there is hear about current and future plans, they also were able to network with each others. These sort of partnerships in particular are crucial for the development of a world class tourist offer, and as I stated on the night, we are at an advantage, as we already have a great tourist product in Inishowen, which really is second to none on this island. The new look 2025 Inishowen Visitor Map Guide was also launched at the event, and we were able to report that it has been very well received across the region and further afield.
I would like to thank Joy Browne and Mary Daly from Donegal Tourism as well as Charlene Boyle from Failte Ireland for attending and giving excellent presentations. I would also like to thank Ron Kerrigan and his team at the Ballyliffin Lodge and Spa for providing the venue and refreshments on the night”.
