Clonmany is located next to a river and overlooked by four imposing and awe-inspiring mountains; Bulbin is 1,500ft (457.1m), Raghtin More is 1,656ft (504.7m), Binion is 830ft (252.9m) but towering over them all is Inishowen’s tallest, Sliabh Sneacht which is a mighty 2,019ft (615.3m). Just south of the village, is a short, but exceptionally rewarding walk through a wooded stream valley. It follows a very gradual incline over gravel paths coming to an end at an impressive waterfall; Glenevin Waterfall. There are picnic areas along the route to stop and enjoy the area. This traditional Irish village is home to the famous Clonmany Festival, Ireland’s longest running and best known family festival.
