Lady’s Bay (Shore Front Beach)

Location: Accessed from the forefront of Grianan Park – 450m north of the Inishowen Tourist Office, Buncrana.
Overview: Entitled in Victorian times the ‘Lady’s Bay’. This Shore Front beach is a sheltered cove only five minutes’ walk Buncrana Town Centre. The beach is situated in front of the Leisure Centre and has a car park and a path along the length of the beach. Two significant rivers come in at each end. Here the ‘Buncrana Shore Path’ begins and is within walking distance to a children’s play park, tennis courts and public toilets. Also within close proximity are picnic tables on what is known locally as the ‘Fishing Greens’.
Activities: Activities at Lady’s Bay beach include swimming, boating, power boating, jet skiing and other land-based activities on the beach.
