The Red Door Country House

The Red Door Country House Built in 1789 is situated in the Northern Headlands section of Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. Three of the 15 Signature Discovery Points are in Donegal, all within driving distance of The Red Door. Offering a wealth of general discovery points and tourist attractions throughout the county, including St. Mura’s Well Right here at the bottom of their garden & Agnes Jones Grave is in the locality.

Renowned for relaxed dining, intimate weddings, Cosy Bar with open fires & luxury accommodation. The Red Door Country House, Bar & Restaurant is Situated on a 4-acre site overlooking Lough Swilly in Inishowen, Co. Donegal, North West of Ireland.

The award-winning restaurant offers dining using fresh seasonal vegetables and herbs from their gardens and uses local produce.  Get together with friends over Afternoon Tea in front of  cosy fires, relax and admire the views of Lough Swilly over Sunday lunch and unwind in the evening in their relaxed dining room. In the Spring and Summer months, take in the stunning views on our outdoor courtyard and terrace seating area whilst enjoying a cocktail or perhaps a drink from the Gin Menu.

We close to the public for private functions such as weddings occasionally on weekdays only. It is advisable to phone/email in advance of your visit to ensure that we are open when you arrive.
